This can be confusing and we are here to make it very simple for you to understand. Depending on your focus and what you are trying to accomplish you can use either of our wraps to get the wrist support you need.
The original TuffWraps Wrist Wraps are of a cloth like material and are used mainly for Crossfit and Olympic weightlifting where a thinner wrap is required to maintain a good amount of movement in the wrist. These wraps come in three main weights or thickness, Light, Medium and Heavy and wrap choice can be influenced but the individuals requirement. Our wraps are not just the 100% cotton wrist wraps you typically see in the market place today, we found those to be too flimsy and unsupportive when training. We use a specific blend of material designed to give your wrists all the support needed to achieve those lifts. These wrist wraps are perfectly suited for Olympic movements (Snatches, Clean & Jerks, Push Press, Over Head Squats, etc) that you see in Crossfit disciplines today. They allow for you to quickly loosen them when going from one exercise to the next.

Our Villain Wrist Wraps are a thicker velcro type of wrist wrap, designed to limit wrist extension and are used by powerlifters and weightlifters all around the world. These types of wraps are offered in 16", 27" and 30" lengths. For an everyday wrist wrap we recommend the 16" Villain Sidekick Wrist Wraps, but once you are moving into larger numbers on the bench and are a serious lifter we recommend the 27" or 30" for sure! The longer the wrist wraps the bulkier they will be but you will also gain more support. There are NO THUMB LOOPS, these have been replaced with our "Belt Loop Tightening System", as well as high quality velcro attachment points which are used to secure them in place. For general elbow pain or support we recommend that you measure the circumference of your elbow joint. We recommend going down one size for general elbow support. So if you measure 12”, purchase the 11” Cuff.
For tendonitis pain in the forearm or elbow we recommend that you measure the circumference of your forearm roughly 1" below your elbow joint. We recommend going down two sizes for tight compression. For example, if you measure 10" then purchase the 8" Cuff.
We advise you to measure your arm when in a locked out with your muscles relaxed. Select the size below that best fits both measurements.
